Miss Marvin began dancing when she was just two years old and knew that she wanted to be a dance teacher when she was thirteen. Miss Marvin trained under the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) syllabus in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap, and participated in BATD Examinations every summer receiving Highly Commended marks. Miss Marvin is also trained in Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Acro, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Modern. She has obtained her Module One Teachers Certificate from Acrobatic Arts, and is currently working toward her Membership with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Miss Marvin has performed and competed at many locations throughout Canada and even at Walt Disney World. She has danced at multiple sports games in half time shows, including for the Toronto Argonauts and Harlem Globetrotters.
Miss Marvin has also been a guest choreographer for school dance teams, and has won many awards, including Overalls and Special Awards. Miss Marvin continues her dance education by attending different workshops and conventions, such as the Toronto Dance Teacher Expo, every summer. Miss Marvin graduated from the Business Administration-Accounting program at Fleming College in 2015 and runs a dance studio in Port Hope.
